Research / Scientific Interests

  • Methodological:
    • Analysis of spectral images: exploiting spatial relationship
    • Learning in multiple dimensions: introducing prior knowledge by means of regularization, physical modeling
    • Modeling and classification of dynamic processes using state space models
    • Semisupervised learning
  • Main applications:
    • Industrial quality control
    • Data analysis in the life sciences: magnetic resonance spectroscopic images, high-throughput microscopy, intravascular ultrasound, single molecule fluorescence spectroscopy
    • Proteomics: analysis of mass spectrometric data
