Under the leadership of the image processing research group at the Interdisciplinary Center
for Scientific Computing (IWR) the DFG research unit (Forschergruppe) "Image Sequence Analysis to Investigate Dynamic Processes" was founded in December 1995.
Novel visualization techniques and image sequence analysis techniques are applied to solve key questions in environmental physics and
botany. Common to all projects is the study of dynamical processes, especially growth and transport processes, for which no
adequate experimental techniques are available so far. The work of the DFG research unit will be presented in the Second External Workshop in September 2000. |
